Supported by an integrated campus environment, a relevant curriculum, and the strengthening of Arabic and English language competencies, students are equipped with strong academic, analytical, and professional skills in the field of humanities.
Through the integration of pesantren scholarly traditions and modern academic approaches, the Faculty of Humanities at UNIDA Gontor provides a comprehensive learning experience aimed at preparing students to become scholars, educators, researchers, practitioners, and leaders who can contribute meaningfully to the development of a cultured, ethical, and globally engaged society.
The brief history of the Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor is closely connected to the establishment of the Darussalam Institute of Education (IPD) on November 17, 1963 (1 Rajab 1383 H), which marked the beginning of pesantren-based higher education in Gontor. The Faculty of Humanities later emerged as part of the development of higher education institutions focusing on the study of language, literature, culture, and civilization grounded in Islamic values.
The establishment of this faculty reflects the vision of the founders of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor in developing an उत्कृष्ट higher education institution in the field of humanities by integrating Islamic scholarly traditions with modern academic approaches. Over time, the Faculty of Humanities has continuously evolved to respond to social, cultural, and intellectual dynamics at both national and global levels.
Throughout its journey, the Faculty of Humanities has produced qualified graduates who contribute across various fields, including education, research, cultural development, and society at large. With a strong commitment to academic excellence and the reinforcement of Islamic values, the faculty continues to enhance the quality of education and its role as a leading and relevant center for humanities studies.
