Markaz Khot is a Student Activity Unit at Universitas Darussalam Gontor that focuses on the art of Islamic calligraphy (khat). This organization not only teaches the technical skills of writing Arabic calligraphy, but also instills the spiritual values embodied in Islamic calligraphic art.
Through an intensive learning process, students are guided to develop creativity, precision, and patience in producing artistic works. These values play an important role in shaping students into individuals who are disciplined, appreciative of aesthetics, and possess noble character in their daily lives.
In addition to contributing to the development of Islamic artistic talents, Markaz Khot also plays an active role within the campus and surrounding community. Its members are frequently involved in various religious and cultural events, including creating calligraphy artworks, decorating important occasions, and beautifying places of worship with Islamic artistic expressions that reflect both aesthetic and spiritual values.
