The Department of Islamic Theology and Philosophy at the University of Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor serves as an academic platform designed to develop students’ intellectual capacities in the fields of Islamic creed, Islamic philosophy, theological thought, and contemporary Islamic discourse grounded in Islamic values and the pesantren tradition. The department is committed to producing academically distinguished graduates who possess Islamic orientation, global insight, and pesantren-based character through the integration of Islamic theology and philosophy with the classical and modern Islamic intellectual heritage within the framework of a pesantren-based higher education system.
